We have over 650 players this year, with our projected attendance of over 2,000, we expect Spring Lake Park to be full. There will be special directions within the park, a map is provided below of parking. Texarkana Parks Staff will be directing traffic and assisting with parking. TTPD will have two officers on hand to help direct and assist traffic as the ceremonies close and end. Please be cautious and safe. Get to the park on time. DO NOT bring any baseball equipment, bat bags, gloves, bats, etc it is not needed that night. There will be limited bleachers, so bringing chairs is encouraged.
With team introductions, we will start at the youngest age group and carry through to the oldest. We need ALL players and coaches with their teams on FIELD 4-Jimmy Carroll Field by 6:00pm. Banners will be laid out on the field where teams need to be staged at. During the ceremony, teams will be announced by the commissioner of their age group they will walk from the 3rd base line, take a brief pause at home for a team photo by John Bunch Photography, and then stay in team groups in the infield of Field 5 - Mickey Moore Field. When the age group is complete, teams will exit Field 5-Mickey Moore Field to Field 1-Bill Atchison Field. We will not have time to allow individual photos or fan photos during the ceremony.
When the age group is complete you may go to Field 1 to take any additional photos and collect your player. After the teams have walked, you are free to leave, unless you are staying for the "FINALE". Due to the amount of players and fans, there will be a pause between age groups so that fans can trade out seating and allow those fans who have seen their players walk to cycle to the back and allow fans to move closer to watch their player.
We understand this is a huge event, and arguably one of the biggest baseball events we have ever hosted. We ask for patience and understanding due to the overwhelming amount of support and growth we have seen this year. Please stay patient and sit back and enjoy the show. A lot of planning and thought has gone into this event, and we will use the experience to help adapt in the future years to come.
