As 501 celebrates 15 years, we could think of no one better to celebrate as our person of the month than one of the 501 LIFE founders, Donna Spears.

Donna has poured her heart and soul into 501 LIFE Magazine and honoring the Central Arkansas community that she loves.

"I think people look at 501 LIFE and enjoy taking it with them wherever they go because this magazine says, ‘This is who I am, this is the positive atmosphere I live in, this is my community.’ No matter where I go, people still say, ‘Oh, I’ve got a great story for you,’ or ‘How do I get my child in there?’ I think it’s just a good news thing that people like having in their hands and they like to keep. That’s what I’m most proud of, how it became the people’s magazine."

On behalf of 501 LIFE co-owners Stefanie Brazile and Jeremy Higginbotham, as well as the whole 501 family, we say 'thank you' to Donna and are honored to celebrate her as our 15th anniversary person of the month!

Well, the old girl was officially put out to pasture tonight, but she had a good run. Workhorse Marketing - where life was so large, it took two states.

Sheila Farmer walked through the doors of the CHRISTUS St. Michael Imaging Center for her annual mammogram. Through a 3D Tomosythesis Digital Mammogram, they were able to see an architectural distortion that could have only been seen with a detailed breast image from Hologic® Genius 3D Mammography. Someone who speaks from the heart is heard much more clearly than one who does not. Meet Francine Francis, Director of Marketing/Communications/Physician Relations -- and communicator extraordinaire. Although Francine is a master of the English language, she knows that big words and fancy ads don’t necessarily connect with individuals. There must be a real person, with a real heart, behind any message in order to connect. Francine certainly does not lack heart, or the ability to use it. Thank you, Francine, for speaking, writing, working, leading, and living with your heart out front.

It's no surprise to anyone who lives in the four-states region, that we are home to one of the highest concentrations of veterans anywhere in the United States. That is why it is such a privilege for Hospice of Texarkana to be a part of the We Honor Veteran's Program. This means our team specializes in the unique needs of veterans and are prepared to meet the specific challenges that veterans and their families may face at the end of life. With great joy, we are also able to take part in Veteran Recognition Ceremonies in our communities, as shown in the photo above, where Retired Lieutenant Colonel and Hospice Chaplain Jerry Creek pins a local veteran, honoring his service to our country.

As we approach this Memorial Day, Hospice of Texarkana is asking for your support in providing the next level of care for our area veteran's, with the construction of our Inpatient Care Center.
