I am reaching out to everyone that will read and share. Let’s rally around Braxten Jensen, a twelve year old boy who has been bravely battling a life-threatening illness since September 29th. What began as a common cold, headache and fever rapidly escalated into a critical situation, with his eyes swelling shut and infection spreading to his brain, necessitating emergency brain surgery and partial paralysis. Since that day, Braxten has undergone four major surgeries, experiencing periods of hope and setback, including some feeling returning to his leg, only to lose it again. As of late this afternoon, Braxten was headed back into emergency surgery, his second brain surgery, as an MRI revealed more pus, requiring a new surgical approach. Let’s come together in prayer and support for Braxten and his family, who desperately need our love, assistance and encouragement. We will be hosting a fundraiser dinner at Murphy’s Family Watering Hole restaurant soon, and I invite everyone to participate and contribute. If you have any raffle items to donate, please drop them off or let me know, and I will create some raffle baskets to sell and raise more funds for the family. Braxten enjoys X-Box games, collects Squishmellows and likes Minecraft items, so feel free to bring something special just for him and we will make sure he gets everything at the hospital. Throughout this challenging time, Braxten’s parents have been selflessly dedicating themselves to their son’s care, staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Portland near to the Legacy Emanuel Randal Children’s Hospital to be close to him every step of the way. They have been by his side the whole time and will be there at least another 10 weeks as of todays information . I have every faith that our community will rise to the challenge and support Braxten and his family with the love, care and generosity they need. Let’s stand together and help Braxten overcome this incredible challenge! I’m backing Braxten, will you?

Fall Junior Tennis is here at Hood River Athletic Club!

Whether your child is just starting out or already showing serious court skills, our Junior Tennis Program offers something for every level, from Grades 1–12.

Led by experienced coaches Bea Hager and Owen Suagee, our sessions are designed to build confidence, develop fundamentals, and help young athletes grow their love for the game.

- Elementary, Middle School, and High School tracks available
- Three sessions to choose from, running September through December
- Member & Non-Member pricing available
- All sessions held on-site at HRAC

Family owned and operated Italian restaurant in our little town in Goldendale, Wa. We've been open for almost three years. Voted Best Restaurant in the Gorge, by the people for the two years we've been open (BesBest of the GorgeWe have the most amazing crew (mostly woman staffed), and the best customers. We are a tourist destination and often hear a hidden gem. We are looking for some experienced individuals to join our work family. Most of staff has been with for as long as we've been open!

🌟Part time (possibly full time) PREP COOK position available.
Shift time will be in the morning. Flexible with start time, by 8 am is necessary most days. Tues-Sat.
Preferred qualifications: Experienced prep cook or similar role, must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, work efficiently, strong communication skills.

🌟PT DISHWASHER- Must have reliable transportation, attention to detail, work efficiently and quickly.

🌟PT LINECOOK-Equivalent Experience is required. Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation, kitchen safety standards, able to multi-task, maintain composure in a fast paced environment, team work, physical ability to stand for long periods of time, sense of urgency and time management. Either 11a to 3pm or 4pm to 8-9 pm available, or both.
