Some recent work I did for Queen City Brewers Festival. With the pandemic still raging (mask up people!) and the festival being cancelled for the year, it was important to still keep the ACEing Autism charity top of mind. A collaborative beer was just what the city ordered. With 40+ breweries creating their own variations of this double IPA, there should be plenty of nice beers floating around this Super Bowl weekend. You can find these around town at your favorite brewery. Cheers!

My first real job as a graphic designer was working for the Charlotte Bobcats. I was there in 2011 when the team drafted Kemba Walker. The day after he was drafted, he visited the arena and was shown around the offices to meet the team. I was standing by the copy machine waiting for something to print and turned around and he was standing beside me. He shook my hand and introduced himself. I remember thinking two things: a) he's not much taller than me so I really hope he's cut out for the NBA and b) he's incredibly nice and seems so genuine. Fast forward 8 years and it turns out that he was in fact ready for the NBA (height be damned!) and he's one of the most humble stars in the league. I'm gonna miss watching him in the purple and teal, but know he's still got things to prove and will be an awesome addition in Boston. Much love Kemba.

Happenings is a monthly magazine which is distributed throughout the Charlotte region with a circulation of 25,000 copies per month. I led the creative efforts to transform the magazine from a simple 4-page newsletter into a 60+ page publication. Developed and designed the initial concept of the publication as well as cover and feature story layouts each month. Here are a few select layouts and covers.
