Shared this a year ago, and it deserves to be shared again.

I didn’t start speaking loudly about healing because it was trendy.
I started because the silence nearly destroyed me.
When the Church told me my trauma was my fault - | chose truth instead.
When shame tried to steal my voice - I found freedom in telling my story.

And now, I’ll keep reminding women:
Your body was never the problem.
Your healing is not rebellion.
And God is still in the business of redemption.

You see photographs on my page because those women gave me permission to share them.

There are also beautiful galleries I’ve created that you will never see.

And that’s exactly how it should be.

Bo***ir is vulnerable.

For some women, sharing their images feels empowering.

For another woman, knowing those photographs will live privately in an album beside her bed is what makes her feel safe enough to finally book.

Neither choice is more brave.

Neither experience is more meaningful.

Your session does not exist to create content for my business.

It exists to create something for you.

We will talk about boundaries.

We will talk about what you’re comfortable wearing.

We will talk about the kinds of images you want to create.

And your “no” is a complete sentence inside my studio.

Your body.
Your photographs.
Your story.
Your choice.

This one is deeply woven into why Bo***ir By Raw exists.

I am a woman of faith.

And I do not believe celebrating the woman God created requires separating yourself from your faith at the studio door.

Bo***ir does not have to be performative.
It does not have to be explicit.
It does not have to belong to anyone else’s gaze.

Sometimes it looks like softness.

Sometimes strength.

Sometimes femininity.

Sometimes laughter.

Sometimes a woman seeing a photograph of herself and realizing she has spent years speaking cruelly about a body that has carried her through an entire life.

There is room here for modesty.
There is room for boundaries.
There is room for your convictions.
There is room for your story.

We can create photographs that feel sensual without feeling like someone else.

Because this isn’t about turning you into a different woman.

It’s about creating space for you to see the one who’s already there.

I need you to know something before you ever step into my studio:

I am not waiting for you to perform for me.

You don’t walk in and suddenly have to know how to become a model.

Most of the women I photograph have never done anything remotely like this before.

And yes—sometimes the first few minutes feel a little awkward.

Because you’re doing something NEW.

Then we talk.
We laugh.
I demonstrate poses.
I fix the tiny details.
I tell you where to put your hands.
I remind you to breathe.
I show you what I’m seeing.

And somewhere along the way, you stop wondering whether you’re “doing it right.”

That transformation is one of my favorite parts.

You don’t need modeling experience.

You need a photographer who knows how to photograph
you.

One of the most common things women tell me is that they want to book a bo***ir session
 later.

After the weight comes off.
After the baby weight.
After they start working out.
After they feel confident again.
After their body looks a little more like the version they remember.

And listen—I’m not going to tell you that you have to love every inch of your body every second of every day.

That isn’t real life.

But I will tell you this:

You are worthy of being documented in a body that is still changing.

You don’t need posing experience. You don’t need to know your angles. You don’t need to arrive overflowing with confidence.

That part is my job.

I will guide your hands.
Your face.
Your breathing.
Your posture.
Your expression.
Every single pose.

You just have to show up.

You may walk into my studio noticing every single thing you wish were different.

My hope is that you leave having noticed a few beautiful things you’d forgotten were already there.

You don’t have to wait for her.

You already are her.

One day, you’re going to look back at photos from this season of your life.

The house you lived in.
The places you went.
Your babies being little.
Your people.
The birthdays and holidays and ordinary Tuesdays you didn’t realize you’d miss.

And I hope you’re in some of them.

Not just a hand reaching into the frame.

Not just your voice behind the camera.

Not just the person who made the memories happen.

✹You.✹

Because I know how easy it is to decide you’ll be in the pictures later.

When you lose the weight.
When you feel more like yourself.
When life isn’t so chaotic.
When you’re more confident.
When you have the money.
When you have the time.

When.

But this version of you doesn’t get a rerun.

And maybe someday you’ll change a hundred things about yourself.

Maybe you’ll look different.
Maybe your body will change.
Maybe your life will look completely different.

But I don’t think Future You is going to wish there were fewer photographs of the woman who got her there.

So take the pictures.

Hand someone else the camera sometimes.
