BRINGING A BRAND TO LIFE | Some projects are especially meaningful because the work behind the brand has the potential to make a real difference in people’s lives.

We were incredibly proud to partner with the Florida Department of Financial Services and its Division of Unclaimed Property to bring Claim Your Cash Florida to life. From the new name, brand identity and messaging to the website, statewide advertising campaign, consumer education, partner outreach and more, every piece was built around one simple goal: help more Floridians find and claim money that already belongs to them.

It was especially rewarding to see that work officially launch at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia presented UCF with a $41,716 check for abandoned property. UCF announced those dollars will support its Student Emergency Fund, a pretty great example of why this initiative matters.

Florida is currently safeguarding more than $3 billion in abandoned property, and approximately 1 in 5 Floridians has property waiting to be claimed.

A WELCOME INVESTMENT | We had the opportunity to attend Rideout Arsenal’s grand opening in Thomasville yesterday and learn more about the company, its founders, and what its move means for South Georgia.

As a business with offices in Tallahassee and Thomasville, developments like this matter to us. Strong communities are built in part by people willing to take risks, create jobs, invest, innovate, and build something that creates opportunities for others along the way.

Husband-and-wife founders Travis and Kelsey Rideout also bring an interesting combination of experiences to the company. Travis is the inventor behind the Dragon, while Kelsey spent years in fire and emergency medical services, including as a firefighter and paramedic. Together, they have brought their respective experiences and skill sets to building and growing Rideout Arsenal.

At the center of that story is the Dragon, Travis’s ground-up approach to competition-pistol design, featuring an ultra-low bore axis, fixed barrel, lever-delayed operating system, ambidextrous controls, and other unique features. That outside-the-box engineering earned national attention at SHOT Show 2026, where Guns.com called the Dragon the most innovative handgun its reviewer saw at the show.

Now, the Rideouts are bringing their company from Virginia to Thomasville after considering locations in several states. The move represents a planned $22 million investment and 120 new jobs over the next several years, supported by a commitment to American manufacturing, domestic suppliers, and skilled labor.

Small businesses and manufacturers remain important parts of the American economy, and their impact is especially tangible locally. Investments like this create career opportunities, strengthen the workforce, support other businesses and suppliers, and generate economic activity throughout a region.

CAPITAL REGION MOMENTUM | This year’s Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce Community Conference, presented by FSU Health, left us more optimistic than ever about the opportunities ahead for Florida’s Capital Region.

Over several days, conversations touched nearly every part of what makes a community competitive: strong private-sector growth, a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, world-class educational institutions, a skilled and growing workforce, advanced and accessible healthcare, attainable housing, emerging technology, a vibrant tourism economy, modern infrastructure, and thoughtful development.

The gathering also highlighted our shared responsibility to collaborate, think bigger, and play an active role in shaping what comes next. The partnership between FSU Health and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare was a highlight of the conference and a powerful example of the progress underway, with the potential to expand access to high-quality healthcare, attract top talent, create jobs, advance research and innovation, and ultimately improve quality of life across our region.
