Hello everyone! ✨

In my circle of friends and family, I see a few breast cancer survivors have the strength and courage of an Army.

I listen to their stories and we go through the rollercoaster of emotions. I try to comfort them with whatever words of wisdom I can muster, but I just seem worthless in my attempts to put a smile on their face.

I offer a hug and a simple “I love you” but at times from a million miles away those efforts are futile.

Now as I grow older I’m knowing more ladies with breast cancer. It breaks my heart and my soul.

Rather than crying about it (ok for a second), I will stand to fight this along with many women who have joined forces with Susan G. Komen.

So please join me this month in raising funds for a worthy cause and support the women in our community, near and far.

We will have a fundraiser on October 27 at .and.raven.co. Go to the link in the bio to RSVP. More details to come.

We are going to have other events as well. Why not have more than one!

For the past 11 months we have come together and supported one another. Let’s make this one special and show everyone the meaning of this community! So stay tuned for the other events!

Welcome to October!

As you may know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and throughout the month information will be provided for screenings, education, and support.

First off there will be a fundraising event at the event of the month. Not only are we going to support the cause but to also introduce a new women owned business to our community! The event will be at .and.raven.co space in Thousand Oaks! Can’t wait for you all to see the space!

This event will have a fee and there will be a silent auction. Proceeds will go to the breast cancer research.

Never Forget!

I don’t think some of you know this about me. I’m originally from NY and this day, 21 years ago, shook me to the core and it still does.

My high school classmates were in the North Tower and the plane went through their offices. I can’t imagine what they went through.

I don’t spend much time thinking about it, however I do think about how amazing my classmates were. Funny, full of life & ready to conquer the world. I carry that attitude with me always.

Live life to the fullest everyone! Show some kindness and gratitude! Smile often!
