Today’s weather didn’t feel much like spring here in Iowa, but across the state everyone is in baseball mode & I love it!

Have you ever done the Onliness Statement exercise?
It's the must do whenever I do branding workshops or work with clients on branding/rebrand projects. If you've dont this before, put your Onliness Statement below for those who need an example. For those who haven't, I encourage anyone currently building a brand, or any small business owner, to do this exercise. It's a great way to tap into the core message of your brand! 🧂MAKE SURE TO SAVE FOR LATER!

🧂THE ONLINESS STATEMENT
This concept originally developed by Marty Neumeier, is a mini version of an elevator pitch that's one sentence, but a mouthful. It is a sentence made up of the WHAT, HOW, WHO, WHERE, WHY & WHEN of your business and when put together is what makes you different from your competitors!

🖤 M Y G A L E N T I N E 🥰
Friendship isn’t about who you’ve known the longest. It’s about who walked into your life, said “I am here for you” & proved it!

Allison and I met several years ago and a Dyersville Young Professionals event. Our love for God, chaotic mom life & creative dreamer mindsets bonded us immediately.

Over the years we’ve been there for some hard times, like deaths & surgeries. We’ve celebrated good times like marriage, births & kids going back to school. From shopping & coffee dates, to coming up with some fun collaborations together & road trip adventures we have had a blast.

I’m grateful God gave me my best friend just when I needed her most.

R E B O O T
Have you been feeling like this?
A couple months ago, I hit a point of feeling burnt out, a lull in creativity & a little unmotivated in some of my work. I took a step back and realized I'd been wrapped up in being reactive to all the changes of 2020 that I wasn't letting myself be creative & free to imagine, or letting my soul live through my work.

🔧 T H E F I X
So I unplugged and started drawing whatever came to mind & let it out through the pen. I continued to do this each night after we put the kids to bed, and what I found was that the more I let myself be free & my mind wander... the more creative I was with my client projects.

⏭ N O W
This week I will be launching a few new Salted Designs offerings & doing a few GIVEAWAYS to celebrate the launch and give me more practice at these creations.

This weekend I was finishing up a few Christmas card designs for clients who I've done them for, for years but this year was different...

Getting Christmas cards in the mail is something I always look forward to. I love the pictures lining my cupboards. The kids love hearing stories about our friends, family & colleagues in the pictures. NOW after months of masks, staying in, Zoom meetings & not seeing people in-person these holiday/Christmas cards are going to be extra special & needed this holiday season.
