I saw this on another apparel decorator’s page and have to share cause I also feel the same. 100% truth mentioned here.

Y’all see a $25 custom shirt and start doing Walmart math. 😭

“$25?! 😳 I can buy a shirt for $5!”

Okay. 🥰

Then go buy the $5 shirt. 😂
Nobody is stopping you.

But PLEASE stop comparing a small business making ONE custom shirt for you to a corporation producing thousands of shirts at once.

Because baby… that math ain’t mathing. 😂

You’re not paying $25 for “just a shirt.”

You’re paying for:

✨ The blank shirt
✨ The design
✨ The print
✨ Supplies
✨ Equipment
✨ Software
✨ Packaging
✨ My time
✨ My labor
✨ My skill
✨ My CREATIVITY
✨ My EXPERIENCE

And the convenience of sending me a picture, saying “I want this on a shirt” and magically receiving the finished product without having to figure out how to make it yourself. 😂

I answer the messages.
I make the mockup.
I prepare the design.
I press the shirt.
I check the shirt.
I package the shirt.
I handle the order.

And somehow the part that gets questioned is my $25. 😭😂

Meanwhile, some of y’all will spend $9 on a drink you finish in 12 minutes and nobody needs to know about the ingredients, labor, rent, electricity, or profit margin. 💀

& I refuse to compete with Walmart, Amazon, Temu, or somebody selling shirts so cheap they’re basically donating their labor. 😂

I know what my products cost me.
I know how long they take.
I know what my time is worth.
And I’m not working for free just because somebody else decided they wanted to.

Custom work has VALUE.

So if my price isn’t for you? That’s okay. ❤️

To everybody who actually GETS IT…Thank you!

The ones who share.

The ones who support small businesses without trying to negotiate every single dollar…

We recently met a Veteran who came to our shop interested in ordering some shirts. All he has was ideas of what he wanted and a great recommendation to come visit us. During our 1uan-on-One consultation we came up with a design representative of who he is and what he's running for. We sat around sharing military experiences & bantering then got down to business. The order was placed and we were able to complete it in record time. Thank you Greg for your service and for the order. Good luck during your campaign!

We recently posted some images of an order we did for Randy's Flooring to wear at the Coralville 4th of July parade. We'll here's an update. They and the community loved them so much Randy's Flooring won the parade's "Best Walking Group". I'd like to think we had a small assist in helping them all look good. LOL! Congrats and again, thanks for the order!

Spent the day yesterday working on this order of 250 rally towels for the Iowa City Moose Lodge, who is hosting the 39th Moose International Horse Show Tournament next week. Thank you to my good friend Brian Sekafetz for the order. I hope all your participants have fun and enjoy the towels.

I almost forgot to post...10 years ago today I officially opened SYNcere Printing, LLC. It's been a long and hard journey with more bumps and turns than smooth sailing but I'm still here!
