We are an East Mountain company who's primary focus is industrial engineering and design. Like everyone else, we struggled with poor internet speeds when trying to run the business from home. After researching the various options we found the product that does an outstanding job for our company.
I was so impressed with the reliability and speed and terms of Trifecta that I felt I had to share it with the community. I contacted the owner of the company and asked if EMENT could represent Trifecta in New Mexico. As a result, we signed a contract to allow EMENT to come to your location to demonstrate the Trifecta free of charge to make sure it works before you buy.
After receiving the demo units from Trifecta and In an effort to understand the coverage and speeds in the East Mountains we drove around with the Trifecta units and did speed checks at various locations in the East Mountains. With the exception of a couple of locations that had no signal the speeds were much better than expected. I've attached a Google Earth image showing recorded speeds.
Personally, we use the Trifecta at the office and at home and have not had an outage yet. At home, before Trifecta, we had Centurylink which if we were lucky we would occasionally get speeds of 7mbps download and the Centurylink imposed maximum upload speed of .75 mbps. Notice the upload speed is less than 1 mbps. Centurylink service would occasionally drop out and we found that contacting customer service was nearly impossible. Centurylink was the only option at our location.
We had no cell signal at home. We used a Verizon network extender for cell phone communications and it would communicate via Centurylink DSL but when Centurylink went down we had no cell phone.
In desperation we found and installed a cell booster that picks up a signal from a tower about 5 miles away and using a UPS battery backup we now get a cell signal with 4 bars even when power is out. Having a good cell signal allowed us to sign up with Trifecta and we went from 7mbps to >30mbps download and from .75mbps to >25mbps upload. No more dropped zoom meetings when someone is streaming or talking on the phone. Security cameras function real-time with no lag.
From a previous facebook post there were comments about cost and that seems to be the big issue. Our time is valuable and any time without internet service or time spent on the phone trying to reach customer service or time spent waiting on a technician to show up can be costly. I have no input in what Trifecta costs but at least you have a local representative to call if something goes wrong. We want this product to succeed.
