Let's talk about AI...
Lately weâve been seeing more people use AI tools (like ChatGPT) or online platforms (like Canva) to create logos and graphics for their businesses. And while these tools are great for brainstorming and quick inspiration (or the fun social media caricature trends), thereâs a major catch that most people donât realize until itâs too late:
You usually canât edit the final image.
If AI creates a logo, the exported file is almost always a flattened image, meaning the text, icons, spacing, fonts, and colors are locked in permanently. Even Canva templates can become unusable if the design includes a solid background or is exported in the wrong size or file type.
This causes issues quickly:
-You canât resize the logo without losing quality
-You canât remove the background for apparel, signage, or print
-You canât tweak colors or text
-You end up with a single image that only works as a profile picture and nothing else
We see businesses run into this exact problem often.
If youâre creating a logo or building your visual identity, make sure youâre using editable files such as SVG, AI, EPS, or layered PDFs. These formats ensure your designer can adjust and repurpose your brand across social media, print materials, apparel, signage, websites, and more.
If you need help turning an idea, sketch, or AI-generated concept into a fully editable, professionally designed logo, weâre happy to help!
Your brand deserves more than a single static image.
