Website Designer with Business Experience

I’ve spent the better part of the last 35 years in Office Administration in Construction, Health Insurance,Transportation, and Tourism, so I am pretty familiar with most business types.

I had the opportunity in 2004 design the company’s website. For someone with no “professional design or development skills”, I got a 3 page site up with a cool project photo gallery (pre-con/post-con) and links to the General Contractor’s website, and a contact form. I learned a lot and wanted to continue in website design, but a new job came along and I forgot about designing websites.

Fast forward to 2015. My EDJ (every day job) was having our website redesigned from Joomla with an animated audio clip on page load to something a little more sleek and relevant. Seeing the transformation and new end product, I was hooked again. I went home, researched how to install a local server on my computer and downloaded the WordPress 2015 theme. I futzed and fiddled and drove myself insane with it. I about threw in the towel, when I ran across this woman in an Virtual Assistant group here on Facebook. She has purple hair and goes by “Grim”. She is a WordPress Website Design Coach. She has developed a website design method that I have been able to quickly adapt to and under her tutelage, have launched two client websites with 2 more websites in development.
