The nice folks at LIFESPRING Adult Learning Community (based out of Saugerties) invited my theater company, Tangent Theatre, to be part of an online series called "Give My Regards to Broadway: Regional Theater Hudson Valley Style." We were delighted to share our story. The focus of our discussion centered on our latest work, "Lean In & Listen: the Power of Play Readings." With some background info on Tangent - from how it all started to how our current signature programming engages audiences in powerful ways - we had a great time talking about our history and meeting new theater enthusiasts in the region. It was a doubly special honor from the Village of Tivoli x 2! The annual citizen awards were handed out this past Wednesday, and for my marketing & PR work in shining a light on the village and for Tangent Theatre Company (my other hat) for our "thought provoking" presentations and plays - here's to deep pride in being part of the business and arts scene here. Tivoli's legendary Hootenanny musical ensemble and local businessman Gary DiMauro, who continually supports the growth and beautification of the village, were also aptly recognized. Thanks to village leadership for making this place the gem that it is to work, live and play. ☺

Also being a producer of theater, it can be a perfect storm of magical fairy dust that makes a show really sing. 🌟 Such was the case for our reading(s) of the contemporary classic GOOD PEOPLE this past weekend. Story, talent, subject matter, venue, audience support...and a sprinkle of marketing & PR...made it an absolute winner. It was so GOOD! ☺️
