National Poison Prevention Week (NPPW) is a national awareness campaign focused on preventing poisonings and helping families learn simple, practical ways to keep children and households safe. Each year, NPPW highlights poison prevention education, safe storage habits, and the importance of using safety products correctly, especially in homes with young children. As part of this year’s celebration, there are two public contests you can vote in:
The NPPW Poster Contest and the NPPW Video Contest. The purpose of these contests is to encourage people, especially students, to creatively raise awareness about poison safety and prevention in their communities.

Here at GLM, we also have a unique opportunity to support child safety through our work evaluating safety products as part of government-mandated safety checks to ensure products sold in the U.S. are designed to help keep kids safe.
