Established on October 1, 2007, the Toledo chapter of AIGA was formed with the intent to connect Toledo area designers locally and to make a difference right here – where we live and work. With more than 25,000 members, in chapters around the US, AIGA is the largest community of design advocates in the country. The mission is simple: to help designers of all styles and backgrounds reach new levels

of professional success. There is also a collective effort in this community to demonstrate the real value and impact that art has in the world of business and media.

It is with regret that the Board has decided to postpone July 16th’s scheduled Gallery event at . Artist submissions were unfortunately difficult to come by this round and we’ve all agreed that while this is always the right event, scheduling it in the thick of the summer season is not the right time.

Stay tuned as we reformulate and, when we’re certain we can match or even outdo our inaugural event at The Gallery, we’ll be sure to announce it right here and give everyone as much notice as possible. Thank you to everyone who did submit for this round and you will all be the first artists approached when the rescheduled event gets rolling.

It seems we here at aren't the only ones diving into a busy summer season! Since our announcement last week of our next big event, we've heard our community loud and clear about extending our submissions deadline for The Gallery at on Friday July 16th. We're here to serve you and we're very happy to oblige.

As we set the bar high for ourselves with The Gallery's first event back in April and with hopes of matching that same standard and energy on 7/16, we're moving the last day for artist submissions to Monday July 11th. That's 2 more weeks for our community to dig for something special from the archives to share or even to create something brand new in honor of our theme of LOVE and all of the amazing things that come with that emotion.

**CALL FOR ARTISTS**

AIGA Toledo's The Gallery wants your LOVE. We are looking for local designers at all levels to exhibit at our next event coinciding with "Lovefest". The theme for this event is, of course, LOVE. Think LOVE. Think ACCEPTANCE. Think DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION and submit your best piece in this theme for a chance to exhibit at our next gallery event.

Please submit your piece as a 24" x 32” landscape or portrait due by 11:59pm EST on deadline date of July 11, 2022 to qualify for review. If any issues arise with the submission process, please email [email protected].

Complete this form and upload as either a PDF, JPEG or TIFF file. Please make sure file is flat, not layered. To be printed as sent for exhibiting.

We look forward to reviewing your designs and will send you an email if selected.

Artworks are not required to sell, however if you choose to sell your design at the event, please add price and upload QR code as required for payment as 100% of the proceeds are yours to keep.

Back in April and with the help of our amazing community of designers and design fanatics, The Gallery presented by and was a two-night hit showcasing some of the best and brightest in the local Graphic Design and Arts scene to an enthusiastic public audience. We promised you we'd do it all over again soon, and we're excited to announce today that soon is now.

On Saturday July 16th, is proud to bring to Toledo the second installment of our in-person digital art gallery event featuring the work of current and aspiring Graphic Design and Arts professionals and students. We loved all of the energy everybody brought to the first event at , so in the spirit of love and continuing the celebration of Pride Month, we welcome you once again to share a love of digital art with us and our community in mid-July.

Today a big and heartfelt thank you goes out to , the and Urban Sight, Inc. team, and the wonderful guests who came out to The Gallery at for our latest special event. With so many things going on in Toledo this weekend, we truly appreciate everyone who came out and especially Nick for sharing his time, talent, and amazing mini-documentary with our members and friends.

We very much look forward not only to the completion of the incomparable in due time but to the final and full documentary that assured our crowd he would see out until the very end.
