In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Bleed American is getting a documentary treatment of sorts as Jimmy Eat World is breaking each song on the album down track by track on their YouTube channel.

From the band:
"It had been over 20 years since Mark and Jimmy Eat World had set foot in a studio together, so he 25th anniversary of Bleed American seemed like perfect timing for him to get back behind the console with Jim, Rick, Tom and Zach to discuss each song from the album that changed everything for the band, along the way unearthing fun new tidbits about the recording process and individual performances.

Filmed at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, CA in April 2026, the videos will be released in album order."

via Oakland Tribune: "Things To Do: Jimmy Eat WorldJimmy Eat World anniversary concert tops metro area’s music this weekend.

Jimmy Eat World has every reason to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its fourth studio album, “Bleed American.”

The 11-song set, released in July 2001, was the Arizona rock troupe’s fourth studio album and its undeniable breakthrough. It was the band’s first Top 40 set (No. 33 on the Billboard 200) and spawned the Top 5 hit “The Middle.” It’s also the only platinum seller among Jimmy Eat World’s 10 albums.

“It changed our lives,” group frontman Jim Adkins said via Zoom from his home in Phoenix. “It put us on a map. It gave us a new, broad audience of people that found something in it that they connected with. People have grown up with this record, right alongside us growing up, and I feel like it’s important to celebrate it.

“It’s important to acknowledge to people that we appreciate that, despite the obvious commerce involved.”

Jimmy Eat World, the Get Up Kids and Sunny Day Real Estate perform at 7 p.m. Friday, June 12, at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre, 14900 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights. 313-471-7000 or 313Presents.com."

via Artist Friendly :: Jimmy Eat World Jim Adkins on Bleed American, the '90s & Why the Band Still Works

"Joel [Madden] sits down with Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World ahead of the band's 25th anniversary tour of Bleed American — a landmark album that wrapped sophisticated, heartfelt storytelling in giant hooks and polished production. They talk about the art of career longevity, the current creative landscape, growing up in the '90s, and how Jimmy Eat World has managed to fit on any bill for three decades. "I don't know how, but we've definitely done tours where it's nine ska bands and us or eight hardcore bands and us," Adkins tells Madden. "Somehow we don't get chased out of the room." Plus: favorite Jimmy Eat World records, songwriting process, managing family and touring, and why Bleed American still hits 25 years later."
