When aircraft buyers or sellers search your name online, what do they find?

For many brokers, the honest answer is: not much.

That is a problem.

Because in this business, trust starts forming before the first phone call, before the first meeting, and before the first deal conversation. If your online presence is thin, outdated, or nonexistent, you are making it harder for serious prospects to choose you.

Personal branding is not vanity marketing. It is a practical business tool. It gives you a way to educate the market, build credibility, and make a stronger first impression before you ever speak to a prospect.

That is exactly what we help brokers do.

A strong brand is easier to trust when the whole company reinforces it.

Marketing can create expectations.

The rest of the organization determines whether those expectations hold up.

That matters because customers do not experience a company in departments.

They experience one business.

When communication, sales, service, and marketing all reinforce the same positioning, the brand becomes more credible.

When they do not, the brand becomes harder for customers to understand and trust.

Brand strategy, then, is not only a marketing exercise.

It requires alignment across the business.

On September 29, we’ll use Marty Neumeier’s Brand Gap framework to explore how strategy and creativity can work together more effectively.

One of the most useful forms of business capacity exists outside the company.

It lives in people who know one another well enough to help.

Someone knows the specialist you need.
Someone has seen the problem before.
Someone has inventory when an aircraft is grounded.
Someone can introduce the right person.
Someone will answer the phone because of a relationship built years earlier.

Companies sometimes treat community as a soft cultural benefit.
In practice, communities can move knowledge, credibility, opportunity and resources remarkably quickly.

They are not substitutes for competence or good systems.

They are another layer of capacity.

And unlike a database of contacts, a real community has relationships running in many directions—not only back to the organization that convened it.

Most aviation and aerospace leaders do not need more disconnected marketing ideas.

They need help connecting strategy, content, sales, relationships, and ex*****on into a system that supports demand.

That is the thinking behind the ABCI AI Marketing Lab.

Each month, ABCI Insiders will receive practical ways to apply AI to a relevant marketing priority—from a simple Beginner prompt to more advanced skills and systems.

September’s focus is brand differentiation:

How can a company make its value easier for the right buyers to understand, believe, and choose?

The deliverable matters, but so does the capability being built.

Over time, these exercises can help teams:

Ask better marketing questions

Use AI more responsibly

Improve consistency

Strengthen existing workflows

Turn useful experiments into repeatable practices

Build a more effective Demand Engine

If that sounds like the kind of marketing work your company needs, we would be glad to start a conversation.

What’s the best use of AI in aviation marketing?

It’s not generating more content. It’s helping us ask better questions.

In this short video, I use a business aviation MRO example to show how AI can help uncover a meaningful—and defensible—point of differentiation.

The process starts with the fundamentals:

• Who is the customer you most want to win?
• What problem brings them to you?
• Which outcomes matter most?
• What evidence supports the promises you make?

For an MRO, “great service” isn’t a differentiator. But the ability to make resource-qualified commitments—supported by platform expertise, technician availability, hangar capacity and documented return-to-service performance—could be.

The important word is documented.

AI can help identify the opportunity, sharpen the positioning and even recommend what data to gather. But it can’t replace the proof behind the promise.

That may be AI’s most valuable role in aviation marketing: not writing the answer for us, but helping us find and substantiate a better one.

How are you using AI to strengthen your company’s positioning?

In aviation, visibility without credibility is a liability.

That is why ABCI’s Personal Branding program is not for everyone.

It is not for people looking for attention without substance, shortcuts around trust, or generic LinkedIn content that sounds like everyone else.

It is for aviation professionals who have already earned credibility offline and need their public presence to reflect it.

The right personal brand does not manufacture authority.

It makes real expertise easier to find, understand, trust, and refer.

ABCI helps credible aviation professionals build visible authority in a market where trust, precision, and reputation shape every opportunity.
