What an energizing morning spent at The University of Kansas School of Business! We adjudicated 4 group presentations by students of the Honors Marketing class. They did research, brainstormed and strategized to answer the challenge we posed on behalf of our real client: The Kansas Highway Patrol. Thank you to Dr. Kissan Joseph and Dr. Luxi Chai for having us, and to Dusty Dean for taking part with us. We were impressed with the students and their ideas—bright future marketers! (RCJH!)

This April MB Piland is celebrating 28 years in business. And how did we mark the actual day (April 1, no foolin')? We soaked in the stunning Runway Remix at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library Sabatini Gallery. We hope you will too! Now through May 17. Our library is a public treasure that all can enjoy.

We were wowed by the creativity, craftsmanship and artistry demonstrated by professional artists and developing student artists alike, including the costume designers from Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy and Helen Hocker Theater. They created gorgeous and sometimes whimsical clothing inspired by artworks from the library's permanent collection. There was even a mannequin with a bucket of fabric remnants for patrons to create their own design. Martha created an elegant evening look, with our signature pink!
