When Kareem Abdul-Jabar made waves as the league's top scorer with his famous “skyhook” shot, Richard Nixon was elected for a second term as president, and Jane Fonda was awarded the Oscar for “Best Actress”… “Papa” Hal Logan was testing the entrepreneurial waters in Topeka, Kansas, selling what was then considered the most advanced technology: handheld four-function calculators.
