I love this image. I met this sweet girl when I was on location in Alton, IL. We bonded at my table after having so much fun taking her portrait. She tells me she's getting married the next summer In Lincoln, NE. A year, a test run to Lincoln and some zoom calls later... she stops me at the end of her very long day and says "You! I Love YOU! Accept MY LOVE!" 😁 and so I did. And this picture will always remind me of that sweet moment. 🥰 I love youth. Fearless.

So I'm editing this beautiful wedding and i find this woman i had forgotten about. Grandmother of the Bride, making sure Grandpa was by her side and his legacy wasnt forgotten. For those of you who dont know, my "bread and butter gig" has been photographing in churches for their directories. I started doing this in 2018, the day after i arrived home from my exhibition in San Francisco. I struggled with sales in churches at first because... Jesus got reeeeeal mad at the vendors in the temple, cause they were taking advantage of God's people... then i realized how invaluable this Service is to people who wouldn't have the opportunity otherwise, to make a presence at their granddaughters wedding. 🤍🤍🤍 ... and its worth every honest penny.
