Trade shows, for all their time and expense, can be a valuable strategy in your marketing plan. If you are a smaller business, those are resources you can’t afford to waste and if you are a larger company, someone higher up the food chain is going to be expecting results.
Whether your company attends one trade show a year, or one a month, and whether you are a first-time attendee or a seasoned vet, we’ve got five tips to help you stand out from the crowd.
1. Know Your Who and Why: “Who is going to be at this trade show?” and “What is your goal for attending the trade show?” There is no right or wrong answer to these questions, but knowing the answers will drive your planning, and most importantly, will allow you to look back and determine if your attendance at the show was successful.
2. Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder: Your display is a vital element or your show attendance. Much like your personal appearance, this is the first thing attendees will notice. Yes, you want it to look good and be attractive, but you also want it to make sense and you want it to have a positive connection with your company.
