Did you know that April is Sexual Abuse Awareness Month?
This April, Country State of Mind Designs is partnering with Bridgeway Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Programs to help paint the town teal — and we need YOUR help to make it happen.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and together we can bring awareness in a way that’s both meaningful and visible throughout our community.
How can you help?
We’re looking for local businesses and community members to join us in spreading awareness. The concept is simple, but the impact can be powerful.
Here are a few ideas to get you started (but feel free to get creative!):
* Own a bakery? Create a teal-themed treat
* Run a coffee shop? Feature a teal drink for the month
*Medical office? Host a “Wear Teal” or “Denim Day”
*Storefront business? Decorate your windows in teal
*Sidewalk chalk, displays, or anything teal to spark conversation
We will also have support yard signs and t-shirts available for purchase, with proceeds being donated directly to Bridgeway. (link posted below for t-shirts come in stores to purchase your signs)
Your support helps bring awareness, spark conversations, and show survivors they are not alone.
If you work for a business, consider passing this along to your employer — every effort matters.
We’ll also be sharing Facebook profile photo options so individuals can show support online, too!
