Last week we held a company meeting to celebrate some big wins across the InnoVera Media team...

It's March Madness, so we leaned into the basketball theme while recognizing achievements, contributions, and the people who help move our company forward. It's good to be able to take a break and give credit where it’s due, and celebrate the hard work happening across our teams.

We kept the teamwork going with a group outing to BRKTHROUGH (pictured is our Twin Cities Team). Turns out the same collaboration that helps us solve marketing challenges also works pretty well when you’re trying to work through "interactive challenge rooms".

A few from the InnoVera Media and HomePros teams spent last week at a conference hosted by our partners Mirabel Technologies in Ft. Lauderdale...

It can feel counterintuitive stepping away from the office, but it is so valuable! It gives us the chance to learn new methods, explore better tools, share ideas, and come back pumped with fresh ways to improve what we do.

We want to get better at our jobs, grow our business, and most importantly help our clients grow theirs. This Florida trip was great for that.

Some of us had never met in person before, so it was also a great opportunity to connect beyond the workplace. Huge shoutout to our Florida team for welcoming Ken and Josh who flew in from Detroit and Minneapolis.

I’m not sure if anyone else on our team has watched Detroiters, but now the discussion is officially open.

As a marketing company headquartered in Metro Detroit, we’ve actually worked with some of the clients they spoof on the show. I never would've caught the hyper-specific local references hidden in every episode if I hadn’t started working here.

The show is ridiculous, genuinely funny, and gets something right: local businesses matter. Community matters. The people behind those businesses care deeply about what they do.

'Tis the season for cliches! Do those silly lines make you smile? Or cringe?

Clichés and gimmicks have been part of marketing forever. Sometimes they’re fun and they can work. Sometimes they feel like noise because they are not unique.

Don’t rely on gimmicks to carry your message. Great marketing starts with telling the truth about who you are, what you offer, and why you're different. When that’s clear, the message hits straight to the heart, no buzzwords required! ❤️

We can have fun with your message, but we still believe in being real, clear, and intentional.
