Several months ago, I was building a Buoy Reservation System for a local Lake Tahoe HOA. I tested a variety of different software options and landed on one called Rental Products For WooCommerce by Kestrel WP.

Their software handled a bulk of the requirements, but couldn't do one thing, 'limit the amount of on-peak buoy days to 21 for the entire season for each member'. I reached out to Kestrel WP to see if they knew of a solution, but sadly, they did not.

So, I wrote my own PHP plugin to solve this requirement that piggybacked Kestrel's software.

A couple months later, Kestrel WP reached out to me asking if I ever found a solution, because they were interested in including this feature in a future update of their Rental Software. I explained that I didn't 'find one', but created my own.

I shared with them what I did and how I did it. Additionally, I thought it would be fun to write an article about it. Afterwards, Kestrel WP asked if they can source my article with a Case Study they were working on, and Of course, I said yes!

About the project:
Several years ago, Thomas at CDA Pontoons asked me to convert an old Wix website into a Wordpress website. We made the conversion, improved some of the design elements, improved the SEO, etc etc.

This time around, CDA Pontoons got some new fancy boats. And with new fancy boats comes a new fancy website to showcase these fancy boats! We scrapped the old design entirely and started with a fresh new luxurious look.

About The Business:
Veteran-owned pontoon rentals focused on enabling families, friends and our community to connect on our beautiful waterways. We offer deluxe, performance and luxury pontoons for rent on Lake Coeur d’Alene and the Spokane River.
