An important reminder from TFPD as the snow keeps falling!

Thanks to Dan H. in Prosser Lakeview for clearing the hydrant near his home!

Today is a great day for everyone to "adopt a hydrant." We encourage you to find one near your house and clear the snow away. This may improve the chances that the fire department can knock down a fire as quickly as possible.

Here are some hydrant clearing tips:

-Remove any snow and ice
-Clear a wide enough perimeter around the hydrant for firefighters to work (about 3 feet)
-Clear a path from the hydrant to the street

You probably never think about where your water comes from. But here in Truckee, there’s actually an amazing story behind it. Our client, TDPUD, asked us to help educate the public about the journey that our crisp, clear, clean mountain water takes from the mountains to our tap.

We created a series of infographics that were used on the utility’s website, social media channels, rack cards and a retractable banner to highlight all of the hard work, thoughtful planning, and carefully monitored safety protocols that deliver some of the best tap water on the planet to the community.

Believe it or not, the billboard is still an important medium in advertising. This one caught our eye on Reddit. It's for the AppleTV show, "The Studio" and it works on multiple levels. First, it stands out in a sea of multi-colored visuals for its plain design. It actually is more eye-catching because it's just in black and white. Second, the message fits in perfectly with the show itself and is a clever wink-wink to viewers.

When’s the last time you paused to truly enjoy the night sky? With busy lives, it’s easy to overlook the beauty above us. That inspired our Dark Skies Initiative with the Town of Truckee. The goal was to create a campaign to celebrate and protect dark skies.

This project has been one of our favorites—full of creativity and community spirit. From stickers and magnets to a video and photo contest, we brought the message to life across multiple channels.
