French is currently still in the hospital and is being held without bond.
**** Prior Criminal History ****
French was on probation after taking a plea deal from another shooting in 2024.
In that incident French pulled a rifle from his pants and fired it into a group of people at a business.
In March 2025 he was given a plea deal by the Pima County Attorney's Office which dropped the firearm-discharge and "dangerous nature" charges that would have mandated prison time.
Instead he plead guilty to just an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge.
He was sentenced to just four years of standard probation by Pima County Superior Court Judge J. Alan Goodwin.
That felony conviction made him a prohibited possessor, meaning he can’t posses any fi****ms.
