Statement on Shooting Outside DC Jewish Museum:

JPSA and Jewish Federations across North America are horrified by the tragic murders reported outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. Our hearts are with the victims, their loved ones, and our colleagues at AJC, who were hosting an event at the museum at the time. AJC CEO Ted Deutch, who recently served as keynote at our Campaign Kickoff, is part of our extended Federation family.

JFNA is working closely with the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and our security partners to monitor developments, understand what transpired, and keep our communities informed.

There is no question that the relentless demonization of Israel and Jews—often under the banner of "Free Palestine"—has fueled rising antisemitism, with devastating consequences. This horrific attack underscores the urgent need to call out and reject hate in all its forms. Words matter. Silence is not an option.

"Ray Davies was a teacher who taught through his actions as well as his words. His deep commitment to advancing civil rights and struggling for social and racial justice made a profound mark. Ray is rightfully known, and should be remembered, as the founder of Holocaust education in Southern Arizona."
