May is National Small Business Month, which feels especially meaningful for us this year because Amoroma Productions is celebrating 15 years. 🎥

Back in 2011, Daniel Mendoza started Amoroma Productions with a camera, a creative vision, and a deep belief in the power of authentic storytelling.

What many people may not realize is that Daniel is the creative visionary behind the work we create today. Every project we produce is shaped by his eye for storytelling, emotional connection, and ability to uncover the human side of a story.

Over the last 15 years, that vision has helped build Amoroma into more than just a production company. It became a storytelling company rooted in authenticity, connection, and creating work that makes people feel something real.

From documentaries and tourism campaigns to nonprofit stories, agriculture, healthcare, arts and culture, and community initiatives… we are incredibly grateful for every story we’ve been trusted to tell.

Building a small business takes resilience, sacrifice, creativity, adaptability, and a whole lot of heart. Watching this company grow over the years has been an incredible journey, and I’m so proud to be part of it alongside Daniel.

Feeling especially grateful after last week.

We had the privilege of working with several incredible businesses and helping tell the stories behind awards that recognize their hard work, heart, and impact. Seeing their excitement and hearing what this recognition means for them was such a gift.

Moments like these remind us that what we do is about so much more than video. It is about honoring people’s journeys, celebrating dedication, and capturing momentum as people step into their next chapter.

It was also inspiring to see City of Avondale creating opportunities to celebrate and uplift the businesses and people helping its community grow. That kind of support matters deeply.

Video isn't just about what you see.
The strongest videos we create are built on what you feel.

We’ve been deep in post-production on a short documentary around water for agriculture in Arizona, and one thing keeps coming up over and over again…

The story isn’t the problem. Clarity is.

When messaging isn’t clear, the visuals have to work overtime.
When messaging is strong, the visuals elevate everything.

That’s why before we ever pick up a camera, we spend time asking:
What is the real takeaway?
Who needs to feel it?
Why does it matter right now?

Video isn’t just beautiful imagery. It’s communication.
And the difference between a “nice video” and a video that actually works usually comes down to one thing:
Strategy before storytelling.

When we partnered with Fresh From the Kitchen, we didn’t want to just create a promotional video. We wanted to understand the heart behind the company.

Noelle’s story started as a little girl in the kitchen with her mom and grandmother, learning that food is about more than a meal. It’s about connection. It’s about gathering. It’s about memory.

That belief is what built her company.

And that’s the story we wanted to tell.

Because the strongest brand films don’t just showcase services, they capture the reason behind them.

Our Producer, Kellie, didn’t start her career in video production.
For 15 years, she worked in events and hospitality, coordinating details, managing timelines, and making sure people felt taken care of.

At the time, she had no idea that experience was preparing her to produce films and lead productions.

But now she see's it every day.
Anticipating needs.
Managing moving pieces.
Leading with empathy and calm.

Career paths don’t have to be perfectly linear to be meaningful.
Sometimes every chapter is quietly preparing you for the next.

What they really need is clarity.

Before we ever press record, we spend time understanding the heart of the story, who it’s for, what matters most, and what we want people to feel.

When we filmed Vintage Arizona, every interview began with conversation first and cameras second. Because when the story is clear, everything else falls into place.
