I usually meet interesting people at the local coffee shop, but today I met Sara. A gorgeous, 36 year old Cockatoo. She is potty trained and calls her humans Mommy and Daddy. So beautiful and wicked smart, and was happy to lean in for a kiss. 😘 🦜

Joe from Reencle here! This is the soil in one of our raised beds where we’ve been layering the compost from Seymour (Reencle US). It is dark and full of worms! We’ve been adding layers to this for over a year. Last year’s yields were amazing and we had half as many worms! They are all over now! Reencle Composting Community

Dry compost will slow down the decomposition process. Make sure you keep it at 40-60% moisture. You can do a simple squeeze test or use a moisture meter.

One of the things I really enjoy about my work is getting to test our compost and observe the biological and chemical processes. 🔬

I was checking this pile that finished curing a few weeks ago and discovered it was already full of worms!🪱

I will use this in our beds pretty soon. We’ll be getting everything ready before winter!🥶
