For my first real post containing content, I'd like to share this little story which has been dear to my heart for many years.
I first came up with this idea when I was 16 or 17 years old while I was babysitting my little sister. I roughly sketched it onto some paper and miraculously, I didn't lose it! (1st picture).
Roughly 4 years later, I attempted to digitally illustrate the story for my illustration class in college... sadly, I didn't get very far with it (2nd picture).
Nearly 3 years later, I decided to have another go at illustrating this story for the zine (It's like a tiny magazine/book) project in my publication class. Well, I'm sure you guys can guess how that went from the pictures.
Not only did I finally complete this story... "The Little Dragon Takes a Bath" was selected to be published in this issue of the Northeastern State University literary journal, THE TALON!
I just ordered myself a copy. Once it arrives, I'll be sure to post pictures! 😁
