That feeling when you upgrade gear for the first time in 12 years (yes, you read that correctly) 📷
I have been rocking a 5D Mark III since 2014. I was 19 years old and heading into my second year of college. It was a big upgrade from my Rebel T3i, but I knew it was an investment in myself and my work. After graduating with my photography degree in 2015, it had been something off and on for me. I kept trying to find my niche but nothing ever came naturally, until I started in the branding - especially for musicians. My camera was a comfort to me because it was a constant in a continuously changing scenery and growing period. I know that camera forward and backwards and that allowed me to learn more on what was being created and less on how to create it. Ole gal got the job done and was part of a lot of amazing experiences, but I knew it was time to invest in myself (and RedBird) once again.
I took the plunge and have upgraded to a Canon R6 Mark III, and I’m so excited not only for myself but for my clients as well. More megapixels, more frames per second, more low light capabilities, more range in video quality. More, more, more! This is going to be a learning experience and will take some time readjusting, I feel like a grandpa going from a flip phone to an iPhone.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and believed in my work. Now let’s go kick it into high gear 🤘🏼
