I have had a few people ask why I am returning to freelancing so I want to take a second to introduce you to my current Why. This is Thomas, around May of last year I found myself surprisingly pregnant (that's a whole other story) at the age of 40. Unfortunately due to many risk factors I ended up with preeclampsia and ended up delivering Thomas 3 and a half months early in September. We have spent the time since then in NICUs in both Boise and Seattle. Due to being born early Thomas has problems with his lungs and even at almost 4 months of age he is still on breathing support. Not knowing where I will be week to week is part of the reason I decided to go back to helping businesses freelance as it gives me the flexibility to make my own schedule. He is such an amazing Why, one of the toughest little guys and such an amazing unexpected direction for my life.
