Excited to share that Katherine Jacobsen, U.S., Canada and Caribbean Program Coordinator for the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), will serve as the keynote speaker for The Echo Awards award ceremony on June 11.

Jacobsen leads the CPJ’s research and advocacy across the U.S., Canada and Caribbean region. Her reporting has included issues such as press freedom violations during the Black Lives Matter protests in the U.S., and she recently worked on advocacy efforts with Canadian journalists that were denied access to report on anti-logging protests.
