Let’s talk about what’s working right now in the digital ads space.

We've put together a breakdown of what we’ve discovered at the Agency over the past few months from managing our client ad accounts.

But, first things first... In order to make Meta ads work for you in 2023, you HAVE to have a good offer. And beyond that - you have to be specific about who you serve.

Over the past year, we have seen a lot of changes in the Meta Ads space - in fact, there are now over 2 billion monthly active users on Instagram alone. Obviously, it’s impossible to serve every single one of them. In order to be successful with ads, it’s crucial to truly deeply understand your audience, know where they are already spending time, and meet them there.

You also have to know how to package and sell your offer before you start investing in ads (unless you have the seed money to invest in getting that data). The reality is... ads will not sell your offer for you, but it definitely helps to have the right messaging in place that effectively communicates the value of the offer in a way that speaks to the person you want to serve. The more specific your message, the better!

We have found advertising on search engine platforms is a wonderful way to connect with leads who are already actively looking for the solutions you provide (and then we can follow up with those leads on Meta platforms, even if they don't join your "list" - sometimes your hottest leads are the ones consuming all your content from the sidelines!)

Google Ads alone can work great for service providers with limited advertising budgets and short sales cycles (think in-person services, brick-and-mortar businesses, online service providers, agencies, business coaches, consultants + course creators...)

If your leads typically have a longer sales cycle, you've probably experienced that it takes multiple touchpoints to keep bringing leads back to the various steps of your funnel. The goal is to bring them back so they’ll move through the final conversion step and become a client. Google Search Ads get interested visitors on your website, and we can retarget those site visits with Google Display Ads in addition to social media ads to effectively acquire aligned leads and nurture them until they become clients.

That's the ticket to effective campaigns that lead to more clients, raving reviews and referrals.

Have you ever invested in a program that under-delivered based on expectations set by marketing or ads that over-promised. 🙋‍♀️

Sometimes we feel like we have to really sell it to keep anyone's attention in the growing market for digital courses and online coaching services.

But there's a better way to connect with the right people for your offers.

And it starts with identifying and showing up through your core values as a human being.

People want to be treated with respect. And a lot of times, marketing strategies don't give our audiences enough credit.

Market sophistication is a real thing (especially in b2b spaces). These days, chances are your audience members are savvy to marketing strategies because they are navigating how to market their own businesses online, too.

Don't make the mistake of underestimating your audience (I see this a lot - particularly in lead magnet offers, but that's a post for another day 👀).

The truth is - there are a lot of online courses, coaches and service providers out there. But you are one of a kind.

And when clients invest in your programs, it's because they want to work with YOU.

So the best way to stand out is through sharing your unique perspective and building trust.

Do what you say you're going to do, and you'll build trust with your people.

When we can connect with our community through trust and shared deeper values, the details around the offer become less and less important.

Sales and conversions become effortless, because the expectation has already been set and met before with your marketing.

This leads to happier clients, longer retention, increased lifetime value, glowing reviews and referrals - the ripple effect flows from there!

It's the little things like keeping promises that have the biggest impact when done with intentionality.
