So my Sheptone journey began when bought a boutique Black volt earthcaster guitar from a local shop in Pittsburgh Pa. It came with a set of the red headed step child pick ups and at that point I didn’t even know who Sheptone was until I got home and plugged this guitar in and realized it was something special, a sound I’ve been searching for my whole musical career. This set of pickups blew me away and sent me down the Sheptone rabbit hole. Since that first set I’ve purchased four other rhsc sets, one set of tributes, one set of blue sky’s and a single bridge ab custom for my other guitars. I guess what I’m saying all pickups are not created equal, Josh is a damn wizard. So if your thinking about trying out Sheptone don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed!
