🏆Creating this new website (ksrad.org) for the Kansas Society of Radiologic Technologists was a meaningful project on many levels. I set out to create something that felt friendly, colorful, human and intuitive to navigate. Thanks to the KSRT gals for being great to work with! 💓

✨✂️A finished video may appear perfect when it’s done and like it easily fell together that way. If only that were the case!😜 It is only because each puzzle piece was hand cut and intentionally placed after much thought and experimentation.

✨✂️Editing the documentary genre captured me as a creative soul in an immediate and dramatic way when I started my career 16 years ago. For me, it stems from being an empath…the way I adore people, the way I can see the dimensional universe each person is, the way I feel other’s feelings deeply.🙌🏻💓 Then there are things about the medium itself that continually engages me: Unlike other genres, I love the way a documentary is written as it’s being edited. It bursts with so much vivid discovery for me, which is elating.🎊🌟 I experience an intriguing dialogue with the material as the video clips speak back to me, and I intuitively feel what the story wants to be.🙂🙏🏻 As I orchestrate music, interview footage, and illustrative imagery, the story comes to life in my hands like a child that begins to walk before my very eyes!🌟 (The majesty of it!) In an industry that tends towards the egoic, the contradiction lies in that “getting out of the way” of the story is what makes it reach its highest potential. I love telling stories that make a positive difference and will always be an eager student of this craft.🙏🏻

🚀Introducing my new Pegasus32 R6 24TB with a RAID 5 parity configuration.🤓 After being self-employed for over a decade, I have finally been able to get one of these! (Costs as much as what a good used car used to cost! 🚗🤑) So grateful for this redundant mansion for my present and future files. 🙂🙏🏻

📸💞I feel like I just reconnected with an old friend! Jerry N Uelsmann’s photography was one of my big influences when I first started my exploration of experimental film in college at the Kansas City Art Institute. Here is one of his photographs…done entirely in the dark room folks! Wow. 🤩

✂️Next up: working my bunny tail off to make the Sundance Film Festival deadline with the “Out of Time: The Material Issue Story” feature documentary submitted as a work in progress. (Sundance can be a real crap-shoot but it’s worth a try.) This is an animation of a contact sheet director / filmmaker found featuring Mike Zelenko , drummer of Material Issue. 🙌🏻✨
