Not every content investment is supposed to look the same. That's not a bug, it's the whole point.
Here's the hard truth: a lot of B2B teams treat every piece of content like it deserves the same level of production. So they either overspend on things that don't need it, or underspend on things that do.
When that pattern holds long enough, the content budget gets questioned entirely. Not because content doesn't work. Because nobody tied the investment level to the strategic purpose.
A short-form video that documents a customer result doesn't need a film crew. A flagship brand piece that lives on your homepage for two years probably does.
The standard worth holding: match the production level to the content's job, not to some default assumption about quality.
Knowing the difference is what separates a content strategy from a content spend.
