OUR CHILDRENS BOOK IS GOING TO PRINT. "WE'RE PUBLISHED!"
TITLE: "Rules Are Driving Me Crazy!"

Well in this fun & clever story the author writes with a humours, but realistic prospective on the Big and Powerful Word. "RULES!"
Between the clarity of the full story, and the thematic comical illustrations; I finally feel that I've fully gotta grasp on rules & why rules are needed... "Well not really, but I'm a lot like the character in the story too; we've a touch of rebelliousness... No spoilers here though, ya just gotta read the book!
The talented author (Ms. Iika Zoe) is the author of 3 children's books has proven her creative skills, adores & works with many children in elementary schools.
Shortly after the book was written, Iika needed an artist to capture her story "visually" on paper. Evidently she'd already sought me out online and soon I was her new cartoonist! I was pleased to take on this large project, and working with Iika was a true, awesome, & remarkable experience. What a fair, kind, and patient person she is!
I had only 1 goal in mind when illustrating her book. I wanted to develop a colorful, unique, and an original thematic style just for her publication. All the artwork/character/concepts were 1st- roughly sketched & presented. Once The drawing was approved; then inked, (line-art) scanned, cleaned, and finally colored digitally as an (AI) vector application. I used only Pantone spot color pallet and added tons of layers for highlights & shadows....
WHEW- After the first 4-5 drawings that I did we're successfully detailed, I knew I was in for a long haul. There was no going back, speeding up the process, or cutting corners, character, or background; etc. However we're finished, editing complete, and printing up the publications! I'm not sure when yet, but hoping to get a bunch of copies soon.
