Eversong Woods
Deep in the darkness of the Eversong Woods, lays a winding, gilded path.
Where travelers may hesitate to follow, or face the scourge’s wrath.
This glowing trail leads just past the silvermoon city, and stops short of the North Sea.
Many may fear this unfamiliar scar on the land, but not Lady Sylvanas and neither should we.
Lady Sylvanas, Ranger of the Silvermoon, now gone and taken on her very important now role, as Queen to the Undercity with her following elves in tow.
The high Elves sing their songs, they play their music through the night. This land is foreign to the sisters, but not so far from Alight.
As The Enchantress and Athena rode their Pegasus in search of their Dear North Star, they stumbled upon a village the sign there read, “Quel'Thalas.”
They slowed their forward progress and began to look around. It seemed the village was nearly gone now, perhaps burned to the ground?
The Pegasus snorted and stomped their hooves, This didn’t look like their sort of place. But The sisters urged them forward now, this journey they must face.
The sounds of cellos and various strings drew them onward. Who was playing these musical things?
The Eversong Woods held many secrets indeed. But tonight they would be lucky! If only their curiosity they did heed.
A sudden movement caught The Enchantress’s eye and suddenly a tug on her hand. In the midst of the Silvermoon city ruins, the high elves and their Dyrad band!
The Fairies were singing and ringing silver bells. The elves were dancing and strumming their stings while so enjoying themselves.
The ever glowing sunset cast by the mystical sunwell, shown onto this special group of creatures and lit the path as well.
The intimidating spires which overlooked the woods, no longer appeared so ghastly when stationed behind this group.
The purple trees were emitting such a deep and rich, jewel toned glow, that for a moment the sisters forgot which way they must go.
The splash of the opulent waterfalls, added their own words to the song. The sisters could not help but think, they too should sing along.
Hard as it was to pull themselves away, onward they must go, so following the path, they continued past the magical group away from the waterfalls splash.
On they went in their search for Polaris, their evening travel guide. Where oh where could that star be? Where does a Star go to hide?
As the sisters approached the Edge of the village, they began to see a brand new glow! This path seemed to lead to something bright! “Faster now,” they told their mounts to go!
They rounded the bend and crossed some water and suddenly it was crystal clear! Right in front of them was their sweet Polaris camouflaged by The Sunwell!
The Sunwell glowed bright with its power, it’s positive energy simply shone! But glowing just as bright as ever, was their Dear star who had run so far from home.
“Polaris!” The Enchantress exclaimed. “We have been looking all over for you! Please come back home to light the sky for us! There is so much more work for you to do!”
“Who me?” The Northern star replied. Seeming almost in shock. “I thought for sure with modern advancements, I was no longer needed in my spot.”
“No compass is as true as you my friend, no light will ever shine as bright!
You are needed just as much as ever now, please come back home to shine on Alight!?”
Polaris shone even brighter now, feeling so relieved. She was needed back in the sky! She had more travelers to lead!
“On my way!” The beautiful Star cried. “I’m ready to go back home!”
The sisters smiled and sighed with relief, this world they need no longer roam.
