Black Bill of Rights Crisis management, Communications strategy, media relations, advocacy and trainings. What Is The Black Bill of Rights?

The Black Bill of Rights serves as a comprehensive template for community action and engagement, aimed at dismantling the discriminatory policies and practices that hinder the freedom and opportunities of Black people and individuals of the African Diaspora in the United States. While the current emphasis is predominantly on policing due to the urgent need to reform practices that threaten Black l

ives, the Black Bill of Rights is designed to be a living framework that includes:

- In partnership with the ACLU: The Black Bill of Rights Community Toolkit

- The Black Bill of Rights: Administrative & Declaration of the black people of the United States

- The Black Bill of Rights Articles: Template of proposed and passed legislation and policy (supports rapid response). Comes with Toolkit for Activists to Combat Systemic Racist Practices in Policing and the Judicial System In their Communities

The co-founder of Activism Articulated offers comprehensive consultation and advocacy assistance, working collaboratively with leaders and community members to develop a flexible, actionable plan tailored to their unique needs. Each plan is designed to adapt as circumstances change, ensuring it remains effective and relevant. A key component of this strategy is building a robust communications foundation that fortifies your current momentum and propels you toward your goals on a broader scale. Integral to this approach is the utilization of the Black Bill of Rights as a guiding framework. This framework serves as a powerful tool to support communities in implementing necessary changes, particularly during times of tragedy when innocent victims are killed by the police. In such critical moments, having a rapid response plan is essential. The rapid response plan for the first 48 hours following a tragedy may include:

- Immediate Activation of Crisis Team
- Communication Strategy
- Support for Victims' Families
- Engagement with Law Enforcement and Government
Officials
- Community Mobilization
- Policy Advocacy

By implementing this rapid response plan within the first 48 hours of a tragedy, communities can effectively address the immediate crisis, support the affected families, and lay the groundwork for long-term systemic change. The Black Bill of Rights serves as a vital tool in this process, providing a clear framework for action and ensuring that the fight for justice is both strategic and sustained.

This Pride, we’re highlighting the stories of LGBTQIA+ pioneers. Today is about Alvin Ailey, the incredible dancer, choreographer, director, and activist.

Ailey founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 1958. The cast started as only seven dancers, with Alvin included, and now it is known as the largest modern dance company in the U.S. Ailey discovered his love for dance in high school, around the same time that he discovered his sexuality. His work took him around the world, connected him to incredible artists like Duke Ellington and Langston Hughes, and even got him surveilled by the FBI. Still, he continued to uplift Black creativity and expression, creating a unique space for Black dancers to thrive.

We celebrate your enduring work. 💙
