trying to write this without crying, and clearly that ain’t working. 😭 AND please read until the end.,

Michelle and I started as co-workers at a company that shall remain nameless. During one of the hardest seasons of my life, she was one of the women who stood up for me when doing so came with consequences.

A few years later, she became the very first employee of She Prints It. She believed in me when there wasn’t much evidence that this thing was going to work.

She showed up when I couldn’t pay her much. She has ALWAYS showed for this business like it was hers.

But looking through these pictures today, I noticed something that got my eyes sweating. Michelle is almost always standing right behind me.

Picture after picture… there she is.

And I realized that’s exactly how she has shown up in my life. She always has my back. ❤️

While y’all see me out front networking, traveling, speaking and building relationships, so many times I’m able to do that because Michelle Bread & Circuses is HERE holding everything down.

If you’ve received exceptional customer service from us, you’ve probably experienced Michelle. And if you’ve ever had a great experience with ME while I was out being Cher’Don, understand that somebody was back at the office making sure the business kept businessing. 💪🏾

So I’m asking my community for something today:

Come get this lesson while we pack up 150 boxes of EXPERIENCE. 👀📦

Because we weren’t just packing gifts. We were helping create 150 opportunities for clients to open a box and FEEL something about a brand.

If we don’t do nothing else over here, we’re gone celebrate women doing the work! ❤️👏🏾

While we were behind the scenes working on this order, I knew I had to introduce y’all to F3 — Fabulous Female Fundraisers, an organization dedicated to creating community, opportunity and support for Women of Color in fundraising and philanthropy.

And when I tell y’all these women are DOING THE WORK — F3 members have collectively raised more than $500 MILLION! 🙌🏾

But I have to give a special shoutout to F3 Founder and Chair, Christal M. Cherry.

Christal personally came to pick up this order on a day when EVERYTHING that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. 😩😂 And the amount of patience, kindness and GRACE she extended to us reminded me all over again why I believe women supporting women can change the world.

Supporting another woman-owned business isn’t always a social media post. Sometimes it’s spending your money with her. Sometimes it’s saying her name in a room. Sometimes it’s extending a little grace when she’s having one of THOSE days. ❤️

So today, I’m saying their name.
