CUSTOMER: How much does this work cost?
ARTIST: $25
CUSTOMER: for that?? It's too expensive !!
ARTIST: What do you think would be a good price?
CUSTOMER: no more than $10
ARTIST: I'm sorry but I won't cover my costs at this price
CUSTOMER: You artists are too expensive.
ARTIST: I'm sorry you see it that way, why don't you try it yourself?
CUSTOMER: but I never did it!
ARTIST: for $100 I can teach you how to do it, plus you will have the knowledge to do it again later.
CUSTOMER: deal done!
ARTIST: to get started you will need various books to learn various techniques, especially the basics.
CUSTOMER: But I don't have all that...
ARTIST: For $100 you can buy some of the basic books you need and what you need to get started.
CUSTOMER: It's a lot of money but it doesn't matter... I'll make the purchase.
ARTIST: ok then see you Friday at 8 p.m.!
CUSTOMER: 8 p.m.?? It's too late for me! and then Friday evening I'm going to dinner with my family but it's okay I'm going to sacrifice some time.
ARTIST: yes me too, so I bring the books, paper, pencils, scissors, drawing pad, eraser, pencils, cotton and felt, various needles, pastel, electricity, chairs, a table and my knowledge.
CUSTOMER: But I don't have all these things!
ARTIST: for $400, you can buy them.
CUSTOMER: but I have nothing left.
CUSTOMER: Ummmmm... You know, ultimately I think it might be better if you do it yourself. I'd rather pay you than go through all this effort.
ARTIST: Wise decision.
