Every sound paints a picture...Every picture tells a story....Every story connects with image...and each image ignites the mind. So when working on a project, no matter what the size, I approach each design with its own uniqueness that, most importantly, draws upon what inspires the people or the business behind it. Whether asked to produce a final product in electronic or printed form, the areas

of final design widely vary, including logos, business cards, brochures, postcards, announcements, banners, stickers/labels, menus, apparel, promotional items and more.

K!ller label collab with Blairstown diner is roaming Crytal Lake with our new Friday the 13th themed salt-pepper-ketchup!

This was an interesting label project...

First off, did you know that the Blairstown Diner was the location of the original film - pretty cool if you ask me!

With a film crew coming back to town to work the tv show spin-off, the timing was tight, but we got it done! Having the theme song playing over and over in my head definitely helped speed up the process 🫣😬

They gave me their base illustration and needed me to bring it all together between the tone, elements, and seamless background. Pretty stoked how it came out!

If you pick up a bottle, let me know! I'd love to see how it's being enjoyed out in the wild. (Bonus points if you're name is Jason, Crystal or Blair) 😁

Brand new shirts are in the house!

IMC Kids Gym & IMC FIT opened up their second location almost a year ago, and we've been having a blast bringing the branding together while keeping the two spaces as their own focus.

This week, their new shirts came in - same great embroidery...one set for IMC Kids and the other for IMC FIT all on the same style polo.

Huge celebrations and congratulations to Banfield's Catering for the newest additions to their business.

Check out their new hot sauce heading to the market today!

Simple, clean label design with a limited color palette that held a connection to their Trinidad heritage and culture. We tried a bunch of different ways to achieve this and love how it came out. The heat meter has a fun twist, too 🌢πŸ”₯

We also updated the original logo, giving it new life while still maintaining a connection to the original. Before and after images are coming soon...

Last week, I had the pleasure of leading a roundtable on "Building a Recognizable Social Media Presence for Nonprofits (without expensive software)" at The Montclair Foundation.

While I can talk the important of cohesive design in your branding all day long, I shared 6 actionable steps nonprofit organizations can take right away to boost their social media, from building a brand guide and how to use it, to organizing a content calendar, scheduling automated posts and developing templates to provide for more efficiency - all with the use of FREE platforms.

Attendees left knowing that it is possible to be successful in creating an effective and recognizable online presence through consistency, staying "on brand" and approaching things with the right strategy - with the desire to have their supporters to feel connected to their missions.

Loved being able to share some tips with everyone and having such a nice response of appreciation afterwards. If you are in need of some 1:1 support or have a speaking engagement opportunity, let's chat! I'd love to help however I can.

Out with the old - in with the new!

Sometimes, that direct sunlight and, in general, outdoor four season exposure will cause your signs to fade or warp...

In a few clicks, a new sign was on the way the following day, using the same art file as originally created. ✨️

How are your signs looking? Need a refresh? I'd love to help however I can.

Let's chat!

What did you do today to move your business along? Yesterday, I had another in-person speaking event, this time talking with local nonprofits about ways to manage and build their social media accounts on a low or no budget level.

We had such a great time with lots of fantastic questions, plus I shared some websites and apps to help keep their visuals on brand with that extremely important cohesive design approach.

Under a pile of work, and it just keeps building? Here's how I not only make the most of my day, but see how I've set up the rest of the week for added success!

Time blocking, planner, and a notepad

My biggest productivity mistake while building my business was thinking I would remember everything on my to-do list and check things off mentally as I go.... wrong. There will always be something to add, something to tweak, something to distract, and something will be left out OR priority will be lost.

Here's some motivation to get you going:

1. Take out a notepad and jot down everything you need to get done in the day or coming week.

2. Move over to your planner and note any important deadlines, appointments, meetings, calls, etc. These will act as markers of your time frame.

3. Take a close look at your to-do list and prioritize each item, starting with day one... today. Then, looking back at your planner, plug those items in, working with your time markers. Break them into smaller tasks to create mini milestones. You'll basically be creating specific blocks of time with mini deadlines to get those tasks done.

* Extra tip: Stick to it! You'll be amazed how much you get accomplished.

Try it and let me know how it works for you!

(P.S. I have some planners and to-do list pads in my shop that can help you get started) πŸ“

Happy Spring! I don't know about you, but it's getting me extra full of energy to crank through that massive to-do list. A big one that's been chugging along... update my site to reflect how my business is reshaping and expanding.

If you follow both of my accounts, you know that I am not only a branding specialist but also a professional artist. Busy on both sides of my creative life, I found my own site was not keeping up with all of the changes happening.... until now!

Is it complete? Nope (the life of a constant creative). But, it is at a place where I am ready and excited to share it with the world.

So whether you are looking for branding support, wishing for some 1:1 help with your DIY approach, or interested in adding an artistic touch to your home, business, or give as a gift... I'd love for you to visit my site and get to know me again in a new light πŸ’—πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ¨πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»

How are you celebrating the start spring?

03/03/2025

It's been a while since I've been posting regularly, and for good reason. As the area of graphic design has shifted greatly lately, not only post-pandemic but with the growth of AI, my business has also been reshaping in ways that are both recognizable and with newer paths. So, I thought that I would take a moment to reintroduce myself (or for the first time) and provide a space for you to ask any questions you have about branding.

πŸ¦‹
Hi, I'm Tracey of Tracey Diamond Designs
I've been working as a professional creative for over 30 years. When I started my graphic design business, I would work on any type of project that clients would need. The wide range never bogged my creative eye down. It just gave me more spaces to play in.

It wasn't long before I found that by bringing all of the project types together, my niche was staring right back at me, waiting to be recognized... and it was! Since then, I have been primarily focusing on supporting businesses and their brand recognition through cohesive design. Collaborations have mostly been with small businesses and organizations as well as those with a DIY approach to their marketing needs.

πŸ¦‹
Why is my logo a butterfly?
Very simple - butterflies symbolize change, and my focus is to take what inspires you, your business and needs and then transform the look of your branding to be memorable and something you love, from concept to design to print and web.

πŸ¦‹
What's new?
Lots! But let's start with a few things to get you caught up: Am still a branding designer with my own business? Yes, I am my own boss and only employee. Am I available as a creative coach, and do I help if you are a do it yourself type? You bet! Am I able to take my design practice to wallspace, windows, etc. with murals and lettering? You bet again!

What other questions do you have about branding or possible collaboration? Let me know in the comments below πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

Welcome IMC FIT - the next level of fitness in Montclair! It's been a pleasure to create an offshoot logo to not only keep the two connected but allow them each to stand on their own as they will be offering their own unique programming.

First weekend of the new year! I'm finding it's a great time to make space for some "me" time, dust off the plans I had in 2024 that either didn't happen or partially took shape, dream big for the days ahead (notice I use "days" vs "the year"... it's so much easier to move the needle forward when thinking in smaller goals than the long list for the big one), and not putting things off for tomorrow.

Two things that help me every day are working in a weekly planner and keeping daily to-do lists. I'm totally old-school and handwrite it all out. Something about pen to paper really helps me sink those tasks into my brain better than a digital format.

Does it take longer? Sure.
But it also gives me some quiet downtime to clear out the clutter in my mind, sip my tea or coffee, and move through the day in a more relaxed space.

How about you? Are you a planner person? They are great for work projects, food prep, art practices, writing goals, class assignments, exercise plans, family plans.... you name it.

No pressure, but if you are looking to get more organized in 2025 (or to support someone you know), I have some planner pads with matching notepads in my shop ready to get things going. I also invite you to join my newsletter www.traceydiamonddesigns.com as I am working on some fun things to help not only inspire your business but you as a whole. I'd love for you to come along for the ride!

Wishing you a wonderful new year filled with making your dreams come true πŸ’—
