Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, reported staggering revenue of $307.394 billion for the fiscal year 2023. However, a significant portion of this revenue, approximately 56%, came from Google's core search and advertising business.
While these search-related services remain the backbone of Alphabet's income, the tech giant is clearly cognizant of the potential disruption large language models (LLMs) pose to this cash cow. As next-generation AI assistants gain traction, the traditional keyword search paradigm could be upended.
