It is with a humbled heart that I must announce, L.S. Consultants INC. will be closing it’s doors for good. I gave it my whole heart and worked as hard as I could at it for 3 years, but like most things in this World, it took on a life of it’s own and grew too big too fast. Which I was warned about, but not ready for.
My young naïve self thought that I could undertake this big challenge because of the Marketing & Sales courses I had taken at Purdue University and the Health Education and Business Ethics courses I had taken at Utah State University along with my B.S. degree in Food & Nutrition and life experiences as a high school and college kid, without any real life experience in the Business field itsself.
Fortunately, I quickly learned how little I knew, and sought out help from those that were successful in what I wanted to be successful in. I learned A LOT yet felt like I didn’t know anything at the same time; if that makes any sense. Unfortunately, this learning process cycle (learning, failing, learning, trying, little success, learning, trying failing, learning, etc.) took a toll on my personal life.
Until I got married, had a miscarriage and then delivered an unhealthy baby boy that spent his first day in this World in the NICU at Porter Regional Hospital, I did not realize how much growing as an individual I had to do. And yes, all of that also happened in the 3 years I was trying to get this business going. I may be waiving the white flag on this business venture, but not on my dreams. I know that being the best mother, best wife and best Hillary is the greatest job I will ever have in this lifetime. Yes, I may have the intelligence and work ethic to run a successful business, but I do not have the time in my life right now to do so. And as they say, timing is everything.
L.S. Consultants INC. may be closing for good, but I am still on the path to helping people be the best they can be. So, I will continue to work my day job at the Hospital, and work at home as a Marketing & Sales Executive with Melaleuca.
