Feeling a lot of feelings today. Having to say goodbye to my best friends will never get easier I don’t think. The only way to describe how I feel when I am with them is complete. They make me laugh more than I even thought I could, they hug me tight, and they love me deeply and i just feel very sad to be leaving them again. But that also helps me appreciate how much I have to be grateful for. Feeling this heavy loss and sadness shows how much love and appreciation exists in our friendships. I truly could not be more thankful for this group of women and I’m already counting down the days until I see them all again.

Sorry to keep you waiting! The wonderful book that I have been talking about is none other than The Gap and The Gain by Dan Sullivan with Dr. Benjamin Hardy. These guys talk about the gap mindset and the gain mindset. I truly implore you to read or listen to this book. Their insight on happiness and how it is not something to be achieved but is a feeling that can happen here and now is so powerful. Dan explains it in a far better way so please, read this book and change your life!

I thought we could talk a little more about mindset today. I am a huge advocate for positive mindsets and how life changing one can be. I strongly believe that your external experience is a reflection of your internal beliefs. If you think negatively or “pragmatically” all the time, life will show up in those ways. You will consistently prove yourself right with little things because you see the negatives. OR you can choose to see the beauty in all situations. Turning hard situations into positive ones is a very difficult thing to do and it is most certainly a practice. I have been listening to this book to help myself with that i am excited to share more with you about it later!

I flew into Boise this morning to have a reunion with my college besties and man o man am I feeling grateful. These women have supported and shaped me through some of my most formative years and I could not be more thankful for them. I truly cannot picture my life without them and I am just so overfilled with joy and gratitude today. Below is a photo of us saying good bye this past graduation and it brings up so many feelings. Most of all is gratitude though, for all they are to me and I can’t wait to be with them this weekend.

Something I was thinking about last night was vibrations and how all living things respond to them. There have been some studies on plants and their perception of sound and it can be quite astonishing. Depending on the sound it can negatively or positively effect a plants metabolism, gene expression, and even defense mechanisms. When you think of how receptive plants are it makes you wonder how receptive humans are. Personally, when I turn on certain vibrations or frequencies it can completely change my mood and I recently witnessed a similar situation in my nephew. We were having a family dinner and listening to Creed radio, which can be considered a post grunge, hard rock, alternative metal mix. My nephew was so angry and it seemed he was very overstimulated for no reason, so we changed the music and his mood completely changed to a calmer, more playful energy. There is no hard evidence here just something for you to think about the next time you feel like you’re in a funk and might be listening to music.

So I wanted to share a little bit about why I wanted to take control of my life and live in alignment with my higher self. These are my parents, they are truly so amazing. They kept me safe when I felt scared, supported me when I made mistakes, and celebrated even the smallest of wins. I am a strong, adventurous, vibrant soul because of the environment they provided for me and I couldn’t thank them more. So, I want to be able to give back to them, both emotionally and financially and this is how I am going to do it.

So after we got up close and personal to those beautiful trees with a panoramic view of the park, we went to Cleetwood Cove which is the access trail to the lake! It is a 1.1 mile moderate hike, has some steep incline so if you have bad knees I would not recommend. However, they are closing this trail after this summer until 2029 for some trail maintenance and I’m sure they intend to make it more accessible. At the bottom, you can get on your boat tour if that was something you signed up for, you can fish, or you can swim!! So my friends and I decided to swim and we did the lil cliff jump! It was so much fun and I highly suggest you get down there before it’s closed for three years!

Hi hi! So I didn’t have any service while I was in crater lake but man o man was it beautiful! We wanted to see all sides the park has to offer so we hiked to the tallest peak in the park called Mount Scott standing at 8,938 ft above sea level. The hike was pretty moderate but accessible to most! The views were absolutely breathtaking and totally worth it. There were a lot of Pinus albicaulis Engelm (last two photos) also known as white bark pine! These trees are so cool and I invite you to do some research into how they are beneficial for the high elevation ecosystem! I’ll post more about our camping and the swimming later :)

Currently driving to crater lake and I’m just thinking about how fruitful consistent time and effort is. My wonderful family has been working so hard on their home for the past year and the ups and downs that come with it could have made it really easy for them to quite. But they continued to work hard and now it is simply breathtaking. It fires me up and motivates me to continue pouring into myself and my pillars so that in a year i can look back and appreciate how breath taking my growth and journey are just like they have with their home.

So guess what! I’m going to crater lake tomorrow with two of my best friends and I wanted to share some cool information about this wonderful national park. Crater lake is the deepest lake in the united states with its deepest point being 1,949 ft. I think the craziest thing is that there are no rivers that flow into or out of the lake meaning the snow and rainfall replenishes what is evaporated, so every 150 years the total amount of water is completely replaced! Getting into the flora of the park, it supports more than 700 species of native plants (I can’t wait to share some of them when I’m there!) and is even home to several plants of conservation concern. Plants of conservation concern mean they are rare, sensitive, or threatened in some manner. Maybe I’ll get to see some in person and share them with you :)

Hydrogen water, why is it such a buzz word and gaining so much traction? Well hydrogen water utilizes molecular hydrogen which is a safe and odorless gas that acts as a powerful antioxidant. One glass of kangen water is equivalent to 64 apples, or 30 glasses of green tea, or 94 bananas, or 1kg of blueberries. I don't know about you but I sure won't be eating 64 apples every day. The high antioxidant value reduces oxidative stress, which simply put is what causes aging. When you cut open an apple, leave it on the counter and it turns brown, that is oxidation. Which is what is happening within our cells due to free radicals and simply living in our toxic world. So, there is a direct correlation to how long we live and the amount of antioxidants in our bodies. I will dive more into this later but please, don't just take my word for it! Go to pubmed, search up drinking hydrogen water and read for yourself how many beautiful benefits you can get from drinking H2 water.
