In 2015, I decided to chase my dream and opened my own marketing agency. I've assembled a team of other "seasoned professionals", each with unique skill sets, to provide clients with a broad range of se

Haven't posted in forever so why not start...today! No posts mean bbd is extra busy for which I am truly grateful. And I'm grateful for my editor extraordinaire and back up videographer, Dave Gordon, so I decided to do a little twinning with him today! Flannel shirts are really kind of comfortable on a snowy shoot day!

In this crazy business, video production seems to come in batches and it's been one of those times lately. I must confess, coming up with ideas after 40 years of writing commercials can be challenging...and stressful. But, thanks to Steve R. Vachon and Dave Gordon Media, when those ideas all come together, I have a feeling of accomplishment. Not to mention, the great clients who put their trust in bbd! We've cranked out a few good ones...here's a teaser...more to come!

Some weekends, work doesn't seem like work! Had a ball with all the fine folks at the Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival. Gorgeous weather and another huge success! What this small community accomplishes each July is truly amazing. We are blessed to work with them. Thanks to all who supported and attended!

I never post things of a political nature. One of the great things about our country is that we are all entitled to our own opinions and we are free to express them. While there is certainly less respect for those opinions today, I remain old school when it comes to that. I have friends on both sides of the aisle and in the middle.

I do have a very strong opinion about electric vehicle mandates. It's no secret, my agency handles a large, local auto dealership. I would have this opinion regardless of that relationship, but it hits home even more so with that association. If you also feel strongly about this, please join me in getting that message back to Augusta. We need a reasonable solution for auto dealers and for the consumers. The timeline and expectations on this mandate are crazy.

30 plus years ago, I fell into the sales side of the TV business by accident. After stumbling around from Boston to Portland, Maine, with a degree in Public Management from the University of Maine and a few years of retail management and buying experience in the clothing business, my competitive spirit pushed me to go sell something and see if I could make money that way! About 15 years ago, Sam entered the business on the creative side...more by choice, with a degree from NESCOM/Husson University...and we started producing great commercials together at a local TV station. In 2015, after 31 years of working for other people, I decided to chase my dream and opened my own marketing agency. Eight months later, Sam joined me and everyday is another fun adventure! After years of working for a big corporation, we now surround ourselves with good people who appreciate our experience, the quality of our work, and our craziness. Simply put, we love helping small businesses get results from their local advertising efforts.
