Five ads from the team this week, one brand each ๐Ÿ‘‡

Flax & Twine keeps it quiet. A DIY kit on a bare table, four words.
Hello Bargello does the opposite, a loud collage with NEW DROP slapped on it.
Dream Fuelerzz put up $200 in prizes and let the hoodie sell.
Ask A Vet timed a bundle to National Dog Day and put the tag on the dog.
Clean Revolution opens its browse-abandon email on the pet hair.

Most retention dashboards look at 12 months. The number that actually predicts repeat customers shows up in the first 90 days. National Dog Day, by a brand that draws pets badly on purpose ๐Ÿ‘‡

The ad offers to ruin your dog's day for $5.
Its email opens with "paws what you're doing" over a wall of awful portraits.
Then the winback hero lands eight words: "You're back. We knew you'd do it again."

Two more: a welcome email hiding its 20% off inside the illustration, and a TikTok banner built like a room tour.

Which would you steal?

A client's search team was bidding on their own brand name in Google Ads, even though they already ranked #1 organically for it on every query that mattered.

We pulled the search terms report and found about $3,400 a month going to clicks the brand would've gotten for free anyway. Meanwhile their non-brand campaigns were capped so low they couldn't spend the daily budget some days.

We cut brand spend down to defensive-only, just enough to keep a competitor from grabbing the top slot, and moved the rest into non-brand search and a new PMax campaign. Net-new traffic was up 34% within six weeks. Total spend didn't change by a dollar.

Before you ask for more ad budget next quarter, pull your own search terms report first. See how much of it is going to people who were already going to buy from you.

Before you pause a Meta campaign because ROAS looks ugly, check three things first.

Attribution window. Comparing 7-day click ROAS to a 28-day view isn't the same number twice, pull both and see how far apart they actually sit.

Learning phase. Touch the budget or the creative and the algorithm resets. Give it 3-4 days of stable spend before judging it again.

Frequency. Once it climbs past 3 to 4 on a prospecting campaign, the ad's probably tired even if ROAS hasn't dropped to prove it yet.

Ran through this with a client last week whose "losing" campaign was actually mid-relearn from a budget bump three days earlier. Left it alone, it was back to 2.4x by the weekend.

Check the number before you pull the plug on it.

Jose Balli's best-sellers carousel: five frames that sell fine jewelry with stories instead of specs ๐Ÿ‘‡

Every piece gets a name and a short line about who it belonged to, so you're reading the caption before you notice you're being sold to. The closer does the only real ask: every piece carries a story, shop best sellers.

Worth studying if you're launching jewelry, gifting, or anything people buy for someone else ๐Ÿ“Œ

Had a client ask me last week why we wouldn't just double their Meta budget overnight. They were running $8k/month at a 2.4x ROAS and wanted to jump to $16k the next day.

I told them no, and here's the math that changed their mind. Meta's learning phase resets any time you move budget more than 20% in a day. Reset it and CPA usually spikes 15-30% for the next 3-7 days while the algorithm relearns who to show your ads to. On a $16k/month budget, a disruption like that can cost you $2-4k in wasted spend before things settle back down.

So we moved in 20% steps instead. $8k to $9.6k, held for 4 days, confirmed ROAS held steady, then $9.6k to $11.5k. Six weeks later they're at $19k/month and ROAS actually improved to 2.7x because we scaled without ever knocking the algorithm off balance.

If you're sitting on a winning campaign and thinking about doubling spend this week, run the math on what a learning phase reset actually costs before you hit send.

One of our DTC clients was running Meta almost entirely on manual campaigns, capped at 2.6x ROAS for four months straight.

We rebuilt the account around Advantage+ and fed it first-party signals straight from Klaviyo, LTV cohorts and live email engagement.

Blended CPA fell 21% in three weeks on the same budget.

ROAS moved to 3.4x without touching creative once.

Where's your Meta budget split sitting right now, mostly manual or mostly Advantage+?

A supplement client's AOV sat at $58 for two years. We didn't touch price. Added a $12 threshold bundle at checkout and moved the post-purchase upsell from day 3 to the confirmation page itself. AOV moved to $71 in five weeks, margin held because the bundle was full-price product, not a discount. What's your checkout threshold set to right now?

Quick tip if you're running Meta on mostly manual campaigns right now: check whether Advantage+ is even connected to your Klaviyo events.

A lot of accounts have ASC turned on but starved of signal, no LTV cohorts or email engagement feeding it.

Fix the connection before you touch budget. Blended CPA moves faster than a bigger daily spend ever will.

Is your Advantage+ campaign seeing your email data?
