Unpopular opinion: AI isn't replacing the marketers you think it is.
Everyone's worried about AI replacing junior marketers, media buyers, copywriters etc..
Here's what I'm actually seeing across the digital marketing space:
→ The first roles being automated aren't junior — they're mid-level ex*****on roles that follow playbooks without thinking critically
→ Junior marketers who learn AI tools are becoming 3x more productive than seniors who don't
→ The real skill gap isn't "can you use ChatGPT" — it's "can you think strategically about WHEN and HOW to use AI"
We've integrated AI into almost every workflow at Top Growth Marketing — ad copy, email flows, data analysis, creative briefing, reporting.
The marketers on our team who thrived? The ones who treated AI as a multiplier, not a replacement. They use AI to do 10x the output but still apply human judgment to strategy, brand voice, and creative direction.
The ones who struggled? The ones who either ignored AI entirely or handed everything to AI without quality control.
AI won't replace marketers or a lot of roles people are worried about. But those who understand AI will absolutely replace people who don't.
