It's headquarters was in Scottsdale, AZ with a satellite call-centers in Vermillion, SD and Rio Rancho, NM. Their contracts included Discover Financial Services (Discover) credit card insurance sales, Southwestern Bell Company (SBC) DSL high-speed internet sales, inbound Cingular phone upgrades sales, AT&T Wireless data entry, and Quest Wireless customer service. The company was purchased by eTele
care, with the sale being announced on 04/02/2004. eTelecare was itself purchased by Stream Global Services via stock-swap -- the completion of which was announced on 10/01/2009. On 08/23/2012, Stream informed its employees at the Vermillion, SD site that the call center was to be closed by 10/31/2012. Stream employees who stayed on until operations ceased received a severance package. Some employees were offered jobs at the company's Sergeant Bluff, IA site. Although no official announcement was made and no reason for the closure was given, the company lost more than $23 million in its previous fiscal year, as reported by the Yankton Daily Press & Dakotan.
