I had the opportunity to speak to the Rotary Club of Sturgis, MI today about a topic that has become a BIG part of our everyday lives — AI, Social Media & You: How AI is Changing What We See, What We Believe & How We Communicate. 🤖📱

We talked about everything from how social media algorithms personalize our feeds, to AI-generated photos and videos, and misinformation, AI's impact on kids and education, and some practical ways we can use AI as a tool without blindly trusting everything it tells us.

One of my biggest takeaways?

Use AI to help you DO something, not to simply TELL you something. AI can be an incredible tool, but it isn't a substitute for critical thinking, fact checking, professional advice or good old fashioned human judgment.

And of course, we had a little fun with a Real or AI challenge.

A huge THANK YOU to the Sturgis Rotary Club for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to speak. Thank you to everyone who participated, asked questions and shared their thoughts. ❤️

Last night was all about celebrating, connecting, and supporting incredible women in business! 💗

I had so much fun attending The Pink Party hosted by the Women's Leadership Bureau, led by the amazing Brooklyn Stanfill, at Building 122 in Vicksburg.

From the delicious food catered by Creative Catering Services Inc. to the fun dirty soda bar (or should I say dirty soda bucket 😄) by Mezanmi Play Cafe, every detail was fantastic! We spent the evening networking, playing games, sharing laughs, and cheering each other on as women entrepreneurs. All while dressed in our favorite shades of pink.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the evening so memorable. Events like these are a great reminder that building relationships is one of the best investments you can make in your business.

Here's to supporting local businesses, empowering women, and creating meaningful connections! 💕

There’s nothing I love more than supporting other women-owned businesses 🩷

I am fully booked with clients right now (grateful is an understatement 🙌), so this post is simply me sharing a local gem I tried and LOVED.

I stopped by Citoriskin for their Luxe Lift facial — a firming peptide treatment — and WOW. My skin felt tighter, looked so glowy, and the best part… zero downtime. I could literally feel it working while I was there. Safe to say I’m hooked 😍

Next up from Citoriskin: brow lamination. I’ve been stalking her work on social and I’m officially influenced 👏

If you’re local and have been thinking about treating yourself…do it. You won’t regret it.

Friday I went back to Sturgis Middle School…but this time I wasn’t the student getting in trouble for talking. 😄

I had the opportunity to speak with the 8th graders about what I do as the owner of EMS Advertising Agency and how social media became my career.

We also talked about how you don’t have to have everything figured out yet, how the things you enjoy can leave clues about your future, and how being kind and hardworking matters more than you think.

Also…major credit to all teachers, my husband included. After saying the same presentation 9 times in a row today, I realized teaching is exhausting and causes major dry mouth. 😅

Thanks for having me, Sturgis Middle School & SABEA - Sturgis Area Business Education Alliance! It was fun connecting with the students and hopefully encouraging them that there are a lot of different paths to success.

Nothing better than supporting another woman-owned business 💛

This week I finally cashed in my (September 🙈) birthday gift card from my sweet friends and treated myself to a visit at The Pampered Scalp, LLC- Head and Hair Spa — and WOW.

Located in downtown Sturgis inside Jaclyn Nicole Salon, this hidden gem is owned by Kathy, who truly knows her craft. She uses all organic products (which I absolutely love 🌿), the latest techniques, and her setup includes a head-spa table with a soothing waterfall halo designed to promote healthier scalp and hair.

It’s honestly the ultimate relaxation — like a facial for your scalp.

As a fellow woman-owned business owner, I love seeing other women chase their dreams and create something amazing in our community. Go check her out…your scalp will thank you! ✨
